    I’ve run out of positive adjectives to describe your photos. Can you explain the stamped numbers on many of the buildings?

      Thank you, Bunty. Those stencilled numbers are phone numbers for construction/demolition workers – cheap DIY advertising. They’re a very common sight here in Hanoi and seem to just magically appear overnight. No-one I know has ever actually seen them being painted.

    I like your photos, they are simple but they tell so much. What are those green and some brown boxes at the second photo?

      Thank you. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what those coloured ceramic boxes are. I think they might be somehow connected to funerals, but I wouldn’t swear to it.
